Rhinos and Foodlink Team Up for Healthy Summer
It was a lesson in healthy eating and soccer for hundreds of children Thursday.
Foodlink teamed up with the Rochester Rhinos for this event to celebrate a summer of healthy food.
The kids from Foodlink's summer meals sites across Rochester, got a chance to practice with the team and learn about healthier food choices.

"At this age especially if we don't get them young and get these kids so that healthy wholesome food is what they want on their plate, we're going to end up with,” says Tom Ferraro, Foodlink Executive Director. “We think health care is out of control now if we don't arrest this current trend, we're all going to be in the soup, so this is extremely important."
Ferraro says Foodlink's summer meals programs provide healthy meals to children when school is out and they no longer have access to free or reduced priced school meals.
