The Rochester City School District held a "High School Fair" Tuesday evening at Dr. Freddie Thomas High School.
The purpose of the event was to inform students, parents, and community members about the options available for the students who are graduating from the district's phased out schools.
Representatives from multiple schools attended the event to recruit interested students.
"We come and present and talk to parents and students about our programs, and see of they have any interest in leaving their current phase-out high school and going to a school that's in good standing," said Anibal Soler, principal of East High School.
The district held the event after school hours to give parents the opportunity to ask questions and explore their choices.
