Police say a Rochester man in his 30s was shot multiple times after an altercation between him and another man in front of 35 Chestnut Street. It happened just before 10 p.m. Friday night in front of Gibbs Place Apartments.
Rochester police say a dispute ensued between the building security officer and the victim.
The victim was shot several times. He was taken to Strong Hospital where police say he remains in stable condition.
Police said they security officer is not in custody. Investigators are working to determine whether or not the shooting occurred in self defense.
