Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney made a very quick fundraising trip to Buffalo on Friday and picked up more than a million dollars for his campaign war-chest.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — There were two events Friday. First a cocktail reception and photo opportunity at the Historical Society in Buffalo.
Tickets were $2,500 and a photo with the presumed Republican presidential candidate cost $5,000.

Around 4:30 p.m., Romney left the Historical Society and arrived at the home of former U.S. Ambassador Anthony Gioia.

The private dinner costs $10,000 a head. The host said about 65 people were there.

Just before 5:30 p.m. Romney left the fundraiser and was flown out of Prior Aviation near the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport.

But he left those in attendance impressed.

"Better than I ever dreamed. He's very, very articulate and very strong in what he believes and what he believes is the right things. He did a good job in the state of Massachusetts. It's not easy being in government," Host Committee Member Frank Ciminelli said.

Anthony Gioia said the dinner was very relaxed and everyone there seemed energized by the things the Massachusetts Governor had to say.
