Pipe organs date back as far as the third century B.C. Early designs were hand held, but over time pipe organs evolved into one of the most complex musical instruments ever created.

Parsons Pipe Organ Builders once called Penfield, NY home until it outgrew its space in 1986. At that time, brothers Richard and Calvin Parsons, president and vice-president of the company, moved the factory to Bristol, NY. They were drawn to that region's quiet open spaces.

Parsons employs an ambitious crew of skilled workers who restore, maintain and create these magnificent instruments. They are close to completing a historic replica of 18th Century German organ in the style Of Arp Schnitger. Commissioned by Cornell University the replica will be installed in the Anabel Taylor Chapel.
